On Saturday, 7 March, ANCALA brings Calçots to its open-fire dining experience at The Beach—a long, leisurely and sociable culinary tradition designed to be enjoyed without rush.

Throughout the day, alongside the regular ANCALA menu, guests can savour a complete Calçotada, a fire‑cooked experience that celebrates local produce prepared directly over the flames and served to share, in true Ancala style. A perfect plan to enjoy the outdoors in the unique natural setting of The Beach.

What are Calçots?

Calçots are a tender, elongated variety of onion, charred directly over the fire until soft and lightly smoked. They are eaten with the hands, peeling away the outer layer and dipping them generously into a rich romesco sauce—an informal, fun and sensory experience beloved in the Mediterranean culinary tradition.
