Sotogrande celebrated its 63rd anniversary last Friday with an event that also marked the official opening of The Alto Golf Club Academy—a cutting-edge space designed to train and inspire golfers, strengthening Sotogrande’s long-standing passion for sport and excellence.

The celebration brought together key figures from the institutional, business, and social spheres of Campo de Gibraltar and beyond. Among the guests were Francisco Javier Ros, Deputy Representative of the Andalusian Government in Campo de Gibraltar, along with mayors and officials from San Roque, Algeciras, Estepona, and San Martín del Tesorillo, as well as leaders from Cádiz’s business community.
Speakers including Francisco Javier Ros, Sotogrande CEO Rami Badr, and Board Chairman Isidoro Mínguez highlighted Sotogrande’s six-decade commitment to quality of life, sustainability, local economic growth, and sports promotion as core values.

The Alto Golf Club Academy was presented as a game-changing project, blending the expertise of top professionals with advanced technology like the Toptracer system, the only one of its kind in the region. The academy also benefits from the involvement of international golf legends such as Suzann Pettersen and Manuel Piñero, who bring their vision and experience to the initiative.
This milestone event not only celebrated Sotogrande’s legacy but also reaffirmed its role as a leader in sustainable development, sporting excellence, and lifestyle in Southern Europe.
