Revel in the seasonal anticipation with a tree lighting and toast ceremony at IXO Tapas bar at SO/ Sotogrande Hotel on Thursday 21 November 2024. At this magical evening this year’s Christmas tree, an original and stylish tree which is a true ode to Andalusian art and fashion, will be illuminated. To mark the lighting a Gospel quintet will perform, bringing both traditional and modern carols to life.
Christmas Eve is when the main festival family meal takes place here in Spain (where it is known as Noche Buena), so why not enjoy it in a sophisticated ambience, with a special Christmas Bistronomy menu at Cortijo Santa María 1962? Bistronomy is a culinary style that combines popular, traditional bistro dishes with gastronomic culinary techniques . Gather your loved ones around the table on 24 December and indulge in a five-course menu (from 85€ per person) plus drinks with optional wine pairing (45€ per person).
If you prefer to have a traditional roast on Christmas Day, the Society Clubhouse has a festive lunchtime feast of Christmas Roast on 25 December with a special Santa visit during the lunch (65€ per person).
New Year’s Eve (called Noche Vieja, or old night, here in Spain), will be celebrated in style at many locations around Sotogrande. Three exclusive events we suggest for 31 December are, firstly the five-course adults-only Gala Dinner by Michelin Star Chef Nicolas Isnard and Chef Leandro Caballero at Cortijo Santa María 1962 (from 300€ per person including drinks). For those who prefer to see the New Year in along with their family, or at least to enjoy a celebratory dinner together, Society Clubhouse is hosting an exclusive four-course New Year’s Eve family-friendly dinner for hotel guests (220€ per person), complete with live entertainment suitable for all ages. Another, less formal option is the relaxed four-course New Year’s Eve barbeque dinner at Marxa Chiringuito (from 89€ per person). All three events can be continued by joining the New Year’s Eve Party at IXO Tapas & Bar (100€ per person).
