The four districts of Sotogrande

Sotogrande is a large, privately owned residential estate in Andalusia, Spain, known for its luxury amenities and lifestyle. The region is not officially divided into districts but it does have four distinct areas and communities within it.

Sotogrande Alto: This area refers to the elevated part of Sotogrande, offering stunning views of the surrounding area, including the Mediterranean Sea, Gibraltar, and the mountains. It’s characterised by spacious villas, the Almenara and Real Club Valderrama golf clubs and the recently opened 5-star SO/ Sotogrande Spa and Golf Resort.

Sotogrande Costa: This part of Sotogrande is closest to the coast and is home to many beach clubs, and a variety of restaurants and shops. It’s known for its waterfront properties, including luxury apartments and townhouses. With incredible views out to the Rock of Gibraltar, Sotogrande Costa encapsulates the combination of land and sea. It is also where you can find Real Club Sotogrande, the original golf course in Sotogrande and today ranked #2 in Spain.

Sotogrande Marina: The beautiful Sotogrande Marina is at the heart of the community. It is known for its excellent restaurants, shops, art galleries and beauty centres and is a prime destination for lovers of water sports. The elegant art galleries, interior design shops, boutiques and home furnishing stores make the area a particularly cool spot for shopping and appreciating local art.

Year-round Sotogrande Marina is the perfect place to engage in the wonderful Spanish tradition of socialising over great food and drink.

La Reserva: This area is the latest district to be developed in Sotogrande, and is home to La Reserva Club. It is also home to the International School and the Sotogrande Hipica equestrian centre. With numerous luxury real estate developments, it is the ideal place to make a home in Sotogrande, with world-class amenities to match including the Racquet Centre at La Reserva Club and The Beach.
