Sotogrande S.A. a men\u00e9 \u00e0 bien le d\u00e9fi caritatif \u201c Beyond the Strait \u201d, une initiative forte alliant sport d'endurance et engagement social. Ce projet avait pour objectif de collecter des fonds au profit de C\u00e1ritas San Roque, une organisation qui vient en aide aux personnes et aux familles en situation de pr\u00e9carit\u00e9 au sein de la communaut\u00e9 locale.<\/p>

Une travers\u00e9e \u00e0 la nage du d\u00e9troit de Gibraltar pour une bonne cause<\/strong><\/p>

Alejandro Vedia, directeur technique de Sotogrande S.A., accompagn\u00e9 d'Antonio Vedia, a relev\u00e9 samedi dernier le d\u00e9fi exigeant de traverser \u00e0 la nage le d\u00e9troit de Gibraltar. Ce parcours en eau libre, reconnu \u00e0 l'\u00e9chelle internationale, est r\u00e9put\u00e9 pour ses forts courants, son trafic maritime intense et ses conditions m\u00e9t\u00e9orologiques impr\u00e9visibles, ce qui en fait l'une des travers\u00e9es \u00e0 la nage les plus difficiles au monde.<\/p>

La travers\u00e9e \u00e0 la nage a d\u00e9but\u00e9 le 27 juin \u00e0 9 h 33 \u00e0 Tarifa, en Espagne, et s'est achev\u00e9e apr\u00e8s 4 heures et 27 minutes \u00e0 Pointe Cires, au Maroc. Au total, les nageurs ont parcouru une distance d'environ 15,2 kilom\u00e8tres.<\/p>

D\u2019une passion commune \u00e0 un d\u00e9fi sportif de taille<\/strong><\/p>

Les origines de ce d\u00e9fi remontent \u00e0 pr\u00e8s de deux ans, lorsque Alejandro a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 accompagner Antonio lors de ses s\u00e9ances d'entra\u00eenement de natation. Ce qui n'\u00e9tait au d\u00e9part qu'une activit\u00e9 destin\u00e9e \u00e0 renforcer leurs liens s'est peu \u00e0 peu transform\u00e9 en une passion commune, les amenant \u00e0 am\u00e9liorer leur endurance, \u00e0 parcourir de plus longues distances et \u00e0 renforcer leur pr\u00e9paration.<\/p>

Cette progression constante les a finalement amen\u00e9s \u00e0 se lancer dans l'un des d\u00e9fis les plus embl\u00e9matiques de la natation en eau libre : la travers\u00e9e \u00e0 la nage du d\u00e9troit de Gibraltar.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Un engagement fort en faveur de l'impact social<\/strong><\/p>

La dimension caritative de cette initiative a \u00e9t\u00e9 port\u00e9e par Rami Badr, PDG de Sotogrande S.A., qui a imm\u00e9diatement adh\u00e9r\u00e9 \u00e0 ce projet d\u00e8s qu\u2019il a pris connaissance des ambitions des nageurs. Ce qui \u00e9tait initialement pr\u00e9vu comme un parrainage sportif s\u2019est rapidement transform\u00e9 en une initiative sociale plus large visant \u00e0 collecter des fonds pour C\u00e1ritas San Roque.<\/p>

Dans le cadre de cet engagement, Sotogrande S.A. s'est engag\u00e9e \u00e0 verser une somme \u00e9quivalente \u00e0 chaque euro donn\u00e9 dans le cadre de la campagne \u201c Beyond the Strait \u201d, doublant ainsi l'impact de chaque don.<\/p>

Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la g\u00e9n\u00e9rosit\u00e9 de particuliers, d\u2019amis et de collaborateurs, un montant total de 6 218 \u20ac a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9colt\u00e9. Avec la contribution \u00e9quivalente de Sotogrande, le montant final des dons s\u2019\u00e9l\u00e8vera \u00e0 pr\u00e8s de 12 500 \u20ac. La totalit\u00e9 de cette somme sera directement vers\u00e9e \u00e0 C\u00e1ritas San Roque, afin de soutenir son action en faveur des familles dans le besoin sur l\u2019ensemble de la commune.<\/p>

Une exp\u00e9rience exigeante tant sur le plan physique que mental<\/strong><\/p>

\u201c C\u2019est sans doute le d\u00e9fi physique et mental le plus exigeant auquel nous ayons jamais \u00e9t\u00e9 confront\u00e9s \u201d, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Alejandro Vedia apr\u00e8s avoir termin\u00e9 la travers\u00e9e \u00e0 la nage. \u201c En m\u00eame temps, cela a \u00e9t\u00e9 une exp\u00e9rience incroyablement enrichissante \u00e0 vivre ensemble, d\u2019autant plus en sachant que chaque mouvement de bras avait un sens. \u201d<\/p>

Au cours de la travers\u00e9e, les nageurs ont \u00e9t\u00e9 confront\u00e9s aux conditions habituelles du d\u00e9troit, notamment une temp\u00e9rature de l'eau de 21,3 \u00b0C et des vents violents, deux facteurs qui ont consid\u00e9rablement accru la difficult\u00e9 de la travers\u00e9e. Malgr\u00e9 ces conditions difficiles, le p\u00e9riple a \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 ponctu\u00e9 de moments m\u00e9morables, comme l'observation de globic\u00e9phales, qui ont apport\u00e9 une touche naturelle unique \u00e0 cette exp\u00e9rience.<\/p>

L'engagement constant de Sotogrande envers la communaut\u00e9<\/strong><\/p>

Des initiatives telles que \u201c Beyond the Strait \u201d mettent en avant l'engagement de Sotogrande en mati\u00e8re de responsabilit\u00e9 sociale et sa volont\u00e9 de soutenir les organisations qui \u0153uvrent \u00e0 l'am\u00e9lioration des conditions de vie des plus d\u00e9munis.<\/p>
