El proyecto ten\u00eda como objetivo recaudar fondos para C\u00e1ritas San Roque, una organizaci\u00f3n dedicada a apoyar a personas y familias vulnerables de la comunidad local.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Una traves\u00eda a nado por el estrecho de Gibraltar con un prop\u00f3sito<\/strong><\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Alejandro Vedia, director t\u00e9cnico de Sotogrande S.A., junto con Antonio Vedia, complet\u00f3 el pasado s\u00e1bado el exigente reto de cruzar a nado el estrecho de Gibraltar. Esta ruta en aguas abiertas, reconocida internacionalmente, es conocida por sus fuertes corrientes, su intenso tr\u00e1fico mar\u00edtimo y sus condiciones meteorol\u00f3gicas impredecibles, lo que la convierte en una de las traves\u00edas a nado m\u00e1s duras del mundo.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La traves\u00eda a nado comenz\u00f3 el 27 de junio a las 09:33 desde Tarifa (Espa\u00f1a) y concluy\u00f3 tras 4 horas y 27 minutos en Pointe Cires (Marruecos). En total, los nadadores recorrieron una distancia de aproximadamente 15,2 kil\u00f3metros.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>De una pasi\u00f3n compartida a un gran reto deportivo<\/strong><\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Los or\u00edgenes de este reto se remontan a hace casi dos a\u00f1os, cuando Alejandro empez\u00f3 a acompa\u00f1ar a Antonio a las sesiones de entrenamiento de nataci\u00f3n. Lo que en un principio se hab\u00eda planteado como un patrocinio deportivo se convirti\u00f3 r\u00e1pidamente en una iniciativa social m\u00e1s amplia destinada a recaudar fondos para C\u00e1ritas San Roque.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Como parte de este compromiso, Sotogrande S.A. se comprometi\u00f3 a aportar una cantidad equivalente a cada euro donado a trav\u00e9s de la campa\u00f1a \u201cBeyond the Strait\u201d, lo que, en la pr\u00e1ctica, duplicaba el impacto de cada aportaci\u00f3n.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Gracias a la generosidad de particulares, amigos y colaboradores, se ha recaudado un total de 6.218 \u20ac. Con la aportaci\u00f3n equivalente de Sotogrande, la donaci\u00f3n final ascender\u00e1 a casi 12.500 \u20ac. La totalidad de la cantidad se destinar\u00e1 directamente a C\u00e1ritas San Roque, para apoyar su labor continua con las familias necesitadas de todo el municipio.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Una experiencia exigente tanto f\u00edsica como mentalmente<\/strong><\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cProbablemente haya sido el reto f\u00edsico y mental m\u00e1s exigente al que nos hemos enfrentado nunca\u201d, afirm\u00f3 Alejandro Vedia tras completar la traves\u00eda a nado. \u201cAl mismo tiempo, ha sido una experiencia incre\u00edblemente gratificante que hemos compartido juntos, sobre todo sabiendo que cada brazada ten\u00eda un prop\u00f3sito significativo\u201d.\u201d<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Durante la traves\u00eda, los nadadores se enfrentaron a las condiciones t\u00edpicas del estrecho, entre ellas una temperatura del mar de 21,3 \u00b0C y fuertes vientos, factores que aumentaron considerablemente la dificultad de la traves\u00eda.
