The Almenara Golf Course is located on the Sotogrande urbanization,on the Mediterrean, so you can enjoy magnificent views.
The field consists of 27 holes, in which the designer and player, Dave Thomas, has created a challenge for the best golfers with undulating fairways and deep bunkers.
Almenara is a noble field, on which you must play in an intelligent and and accurate form. The tour highlights the generous spread of water and presents its three distinct path forms. The first part runs along the forested area of Sotogrande, the second flows through an open zone that features a spectacular lake, and the third part contains some of the most impressive holes in Europe, which runs along a series of large lakes as well.
Almenara reopened its doors in April 2005 after a major renovation to improve its facilities. The club house is a multifaceted building in the middle of the estate, which houses the reception and concierge, a piano bar and an elegant fine dining restaurant on the top floor, facing the seventh green surrounded by pine trees. If you prefer a more relaxed atmosphere, whether for dinner, lunch or breakfast, it's worth taking a short walk to the VeinTeeOcho restaurant with its views of the golf course, the Mediterranean and the Sotogrande mountains, where in the evenings a barbecue silhouetted against the Sotogrande mountain range lights up the night.
In addition, access to the Almenara Golf facilities, including the Caddie Master, the Pro Shop and the golf cart parking area have been improved.
